Tse Dup Yang Bod
Shamanic Soul Healing
Tse Dup Yang Bod is an ancient Tibetan Bön healing and spiritual practice from the 7th century that originates with the goddess Yum Chen Thuk Je Kun Drol, the Boundless Mother of Compassion, at Mount Kailash in Tibet.
Tse means life force; Dup means to intensify; Yang refers to the energetic essence of the soul, life force, and five elements; and Bod means to call or retrieve through ritual and mantra.

Ancient Bön practices to restore and heal
The soul is made up of five elements: earth, water, fire, air, and space. These elements pervade all life and are the foundation of health and a strong immune system. A traumatic event, shock, grief, stress, pain, chronic illness, viruses, infections, pandemics, and environmental disasters can cause one to lose connection with the elements and become dispirited. The shamanic rites of soul and life-force retrieval are methods of balancing and healing an individual by calling on the essences of these elements: elemental spirits.
Life force is the presence of energetic forces within oneself. It is possible to retrieve life force using meditation and symbols in rituals. Through mantra and ritual one can bring back the positive qualities that are missing or weak.

How can you tell if you are experiencing soul loss?
The most obvious signs are unexplainable long-term sickness, illness and disease that are undiagnosable or unresponsive to conventional medicine and treatments, depression, persistent lethargy, and lack of interest in life. Many patients say, “Something just doesn’t feel right.” One patient said, “I feel as if there is a hole in my heart.”
The shamanic practices of soul and life-force retrieval are methods for restoring the positive qualities of elements that have been lost, stolen, damaged or weakened. Restoration of the vitality of the elements and their spirits is brought about using chants and mantras. Chants and mantras release illness and remove obstacles to health and healing. Their sounds contain the power and blessings of loving-kindness from fully enlightened Bön protectors and goddesses. Reconnection to divine primordial energy and the elements has the potential for profound healing at all levels of experience—physical, energetic, psychological, and spiritual.
Sessions around the world are off-site and conducted through telehealth via Zoom, Skype, Facetime or phone
In Nepal limited, in-person home and hospice appointments for the terminally ill and dying are available upon request.
Soul healing works with universal Source Qi and is therefore not confined by space and time. Source Qi flows freely without boundaries. Working in this new dimension is optimal. It eliminates many of the internal and external obstacles to healing. Openness towards the experience is the only requirement.
Often one session is sufficient to resolve an issue. Other times, as with other health modalities, more than one treatment is needed.
Soul healing is appropriate for everyone, including infants, children, and birthing mothers. Strengthening soul energy is also profoundly supportive for the dying to facilitate a peaceful death and rebirth.
About Heidi Pilar
Heidi Pilar has been working in private practice as an acupuncturist for over twenty years. She has a deep, lifelong passion for healing and the cultivation of spiritual practice in everyday life for herself and others. She has been practicing Bön since 2002 and received the transmission of Bön Soul Healer (Drup Shen Ma) from Geshe Chongtul Rinpoche in 2015.
In 2018, Heidi Pilar went on pilgrimage to sacred Mount Kailash in Tibet. This mountain, according to Bön cosmology, is the soul of the planet and the birthplace of human consciousness. Heidi was the first Western woman to circumambulate Mount Kailash in the arduous and rarely-traveled counterclockwise direction that is traditional in Bön. Significantly, this was also the first time a Western woman and a Bön shaman walked the sacred kora together. During the pilgrimage, it became clear to Heidi that sacred partnerships—between East and West, male and female, humans and nature—are needed to effect healing and re-establish unity on the planet. Heidi’s Shamanic Soul Healing practice is a manifestation of this wisdom and compassion in action.
Heidi is dedicated to sharing Bön wisdom and practices with the world. She is the first woman outside the Bön culture to be initiated into the shamanic family lineage of the Bön Garuda Valley spirit called Gompa Kshek Tuk. She is deeply committed to strengthening ancient healing traditions at their roots through her foundation Middle World Alliance. Since 2014, Heidi has helped restore and revitalize several shaman temples and established a traditional Tibetan Medical Clinic in the Humla Valley region of Nepal. In 2022, with Humla village shamans, she built a stupa, a Buddhist structure erected to rebalance the natural elements that hold together the fragile eco-system of the Himalayan mountain region. Sacred stupas are believed to repel earthquakes and other natural disasters.
Heidi Pilar currently resides in Mexico and Nepal. She serves her local communities as a shamanic soul healer, supporting people to live in joy and die in peace.
